Health & Safety

GOV is an All-Ages Event Intended for Indigenous Youth

GOV’s main goal is to foster a sense of belonging for everyone. That’s why we strive to ensure that every part of GOV is safe and accessible for all who attend.

First aid stations and medical personnel are always available in the case of medical emergencies or accidents. Staff and volunteers are also always nearby in case you have questions or need a hand. We also have designated cultural spaces and on-site support from Elders for anyone who needs it.

All people helping at GOV should have our respect and consideration, including support staff and hotel/venue staff as well.

We strongly encourage chaperones to ensure delegates return to their accommodations by 11:30 p.m for their safety and a fun event for all.
