Inspire through Interactive Workshops
Each year, we seek out workshops focused on the following areas of strengthening and empowering Indigenous youth:
Financial health and planning
Environmental Stewardship
Sport and Recreation
Cultural Teachings and Practices
Art and Music
Social Justice and Advocacy
Education and Career Development
Personal Leadership
Health and Wellness
Workshops can be designed for durations of 1.5 hours, 3 hours, or 6 hours, allowing for flexibility in content delivery.
Preference will be given to workshops offered by Indigenous persons and agencies, social enterprises and non-profits, and those organizations with a demonstrated commitment to Indigenous youth voices.
Workshop host applications for GOV 2026 are open in the GOV app.
The application deadline has been extended until December 12.

Unless you are volunteering, you are not allowed to attend other workshops and/or other events at Gathering Our Voices. Click here to learn about volunteering at GOV.
No. Workshop hosts are never allowed to be alone with a youth.
Please check our website and in the GOV app for a list of hotels that are offering discounts to GOV attendees.
Workshop blocks take place in the below times. Some workshops running longer will take up more than one block. We do not have workshops on the 17th or 20th to make space for our plenary events.
Wednesday March 18th, 2026
Block A – 9:00am – 10:30am
Block B – 10:45am – 12:15pm
Block C – 3:00pm – 4:30pm
Thursday March 19th, 2026
Block D – 9:00am – 10:15am
Block E – 10:45am – 12:15pm

We request that you arrive 15-20 minutes before the scheduled start time of your workshop.
We request you leave your room with your belongings upon the end of your workshop unless you are facilitating a workshop the next block or the next day.
In some cases, yes, but please note that we do not provide security or insurance for any items you may be responsible for. We recommend packing up electronics and other valuable items.
You may have the facilitators listed on your GOV application attend your workshop. Any other people may not attend unless given written permission from GOV staff. All facilitators must have completed Criminal Record Checks.
Exhibitors, artisans and workshop hosts are responsible for their own meals, drinks, and snacks.
Downtown Vancouver is surrounded by many popular restaurants, cafes, and eateries. You can ask your hotel clerk for recommendations.

During the event, there will be an information booth staffed with volunteers who will be able to answer your questions!
