Tickets & Registration
Ticket applications are now closed. All successful applicants have been emailed. If you did not receive an email from us, please check your email again on Jan. 11 to see if you are offered unpaid tickets.
Tickets
We are introducing a new, more equitable process for GOV 2025 to help more youth attend GOV at least once.
Chaperones will now need to fill out an application to request tickets (you can request up to 12, including chaperone tickets). Please note that requesting a ticket does not guarantee that you will receive one.
Applications open in the GOV app on October 21, 2024 at 10 a.m. PST and will close at 11:59 p.m. on October 22, 2024 or when the waitlist fills (whichever comes first).
Extra tickets will not be available onsite at GOV as we anticipate selling out again!

Application Process
✅ Submit your application starting at 10:00 a.m. PST on Oct 21
✅ We will sort applications by region to ensure delegates from all regions are represented and then tickets will be reviewed according to the time you submitted your application (first-come first-serve). From there, groups who were waitlisted in 2024 or who are bringing majority of youth in care or with disabilities will be given priority
✅ Check your emails on November 5 (including spam folder) to see if you have been offered GOV tickets. Please note that we will not send an email if you were not offered tickets
✅If you were offered tickets, pay for them by January 10. If you were not offered tickets, please check your emails again on January 11 to see if you were offered tickets from the waitlist
Please note that our GOV team is mighty but small! For this reason, we are not able to respond to inquiries about why your application was rejected. Please check your email again on January 11 to see if you are offered unpaid tickets.
Payment Policy
Registration fees are set at $300 per person (delegate or chaperone).
Full payment must be received by BCAAFC no later than January 10, 2025 or your seats will be released to the waitlist.
We can take payment through credit card or cheque:
- Credit card payments must be done through Square. You will receive an email directly from Square with the link to pay (and follow-up emails until the total is paid). A receipt will be emailed to you directly from Square.
- If paying by cheque, please mail your cheque to 551 Chatham Street, Victoria BC V8T 1E1. A receipt will be issued shortly after your cheques arrive at the BCAAFC office to your e-mail. Cheques should be made out to BC Association of Aboriginal Friendship Centres or BCAAFC. Be sure to note on the cheque stub that this is a payment for GOV 2025.
Refunds will be made by cheque only, paid to the group organization/owner holding the tickets. Refunds will not be issued until after March 21th, 2025. Processing time will be 30-60 days.
Cancellations made by January 31, 2025 will receive a full refund. Cancellations made in February will receive a 50% refund. Cancellations made before March 14 will receive a 25% refund. No refunds will be issued after March 14, 2025.
Registration
Please register your group in the app by March 5, 2025.
Registering prior to day one of GOV helps us plan a safe, accessible event that meets the diverse needs of the people in your group. It also helps ensure that Registration Day goes smoothly for your group so you can get started on the fun right away!
Criminal Record & Vulnerable Sector Check
Every person attending GOV over the age of 18 must provide a valid Criminal Record and Vulnerable Sector Check (CRC-VSC).
