FASHION SHOW

For the first time ever, GOV is hitting the runway!

We’re beyond excited to introduce GOV’s first-ever Fashion Show, a brand-new plenary event taking over the Vancouver Convention Centre on March 19, 2026 at 1:45 p.m.

Join us in celebrating Indigenous culture and fashion

✨ Who can attend?
All registered delegates and chaperones wearing their GOV wristbands and lanyards are welcome. No extra sign-up needed — just show up ready to cheer, celebrate, and be inspired.

✨ Want to walk the runway?
If you’re a youth who dreams of modelling in the show, this is your moment. Join our Fashion Show Prep Workshop on March 19, where participants will spend the morning learning, rehearsing, and preparing to hit the runway that afternoon. No experience necessary!

✨ Want to showcase your designs?
Have you made a ribbon skirt, T-shirt, or another piece you’re proud of? We want to see it! Join the Fashion Show Prep Workshop to model your own designs or collaborate with models to bring your creations to the runway.

👉 Important: As this is an inaugural event, we are issuing a call for expressions of interest to join the workshop, rather than our usual sign-up process in the GOV app. Scroll down to submit an expression of interest by 5:00 p.m. on January 30, 2026!

General Information

Thank you for your interest in our inaugural GOV Fashion Show Prep Workshop! By completing this form, you will be considered for a spot in the Fashion Show Prep Workshop. This is an inclusive workshop, and no prior experience is required. The only requirement is that participants must be registered GOV 2026 delegates. Selections will not be based on amount of experience, and we are aiming to make room for as many youth as possible to participate. This form closes on January 30 at 5:00 p.m. PST.
Please select "both" even if you are only modelling your own work.
(Ex. Can’t stand for long periods, require a ramp or support with stairs, visibility, etc.)
